In my defense, I have spent a few hours working on my research presentation for my prac 1 class (adult assessments for Asperger Syndrome for anyone who cares) and I did laundry as well as clean. So really it's not so much been a lazy Saturday afternoon, I am just feeling particularly lazy right now. But not lazy enough to not post. Went to the gym today for the first time since October, which is pre-foot surgery. Foot held up okay, not so sure about my other muscles. They are all protesting and loudly proclaiming how much of a bad idea that was and how I should have stayed firmly in bum mode.

I could use some assistance, from my oh so awesome f-list. I have a client who is a current immigrant from another country. When she first arrived she was very excited to be learning English and has lost that motivation. One thing that she had done in the past to learn another language was listen to music in that language. So we brainstormed that she should maybe listen to English music to help her maybe recover that motivation. Only problem is she likes a very specific kind of music, she classified it as slow music and felt that American music was too fast and too loud and asked for my help in making a list of English speaking musicians who sing slow music. So dear f-list, if you could help me out with suggestions of artists who sing slow music (not the sort of music I listen to generally) I'd be most appreciative. To help speed along the process, I was thinking of singers like Celine Dion or Amy Grant, singers like that. But I am not sure that is who she is looking for exactly. I figure we'll probably be working on it for a while....

And one other bit of housekeeping, I completely forgot to post this last time I posted a chapter of my fan fic. So since I forgot then and don't have a new piece to post right now, I am just displaying it now, because I am so very proud of it. Got a call from work when I was less then 5 mins from the apartment, on my way to work. Letting me know that calculation of payroll hours has the store over by about 13 hours. Now they calculated hours yesterday and were apparently fine. But upon a re-calculation they find that the hours are not fine and they cut 3 hours from my shift. Now I don't really care too terribly much, I mean it is my last day at Deb. But considering the number of times (and this implies many) that both the store and co-manager have come up completely wrong on the payroll hours, I do not have much hope that they calculated things correctly. Now I am not saying that I always got things right when I did schedules and calculated payroll hours. But I was never as wrong as many times as the co-manager has been since she has worked in the same store as me. But at any rate, so I get a Saturday afternoon free until I have to leave to finish my last few hours at Deb.

So I am thinking I might work on my fan fic, but I haven't really received any comments from you folks on my f-list about it. Is it really that bad? Or are you guys just not interested? Anyone have any ideas on where I can post it so I can receive some feedback on it? Thanks!

So after having to deal with some more harassment crap via the lovely folks at the DB, I just needed to clear my head a little and destress. What better way then working on more of my fan fic? Well I wrote a few more chapters and did a little sprucing up of the first chapter, trying to make it more grammatically correct and readable. This is my very first fan fic, please be gentle!

So I've had this crazy idea as of late. I think it's because I read so much and really I have had ideas like this before, but never where I actually put them into practice. I am writing my first fan fic. And no, it can't be something simplier, like a J/D smut fic or a McShep one. No it has to be a crossover fic. And not just any crossover fic, but a Babylon 5/Stargate SG-1 Crossover Fic. Yes I am a glutton for punishment. And per that punishment, I have decided to post pieces of my work on my LJ. I was gonna wait until I had the whole thing done, but I might try and squirm out of it somewhere around the middle and need your guys, my lovely f-list, to be there with whips and chains and beat me back into finishing the work. Thank you in advance for the beatings.
