Is getting presents. I mean I don't celebrate it for the religious aspect, so what other aspect is there? I mean, I'd love to celebrate it for the getting together with family part. But I have no money, my family is not interested in traveling to KC or paying for my way back home (and the ones who would be interested can't afford it) and X-mas was never a big holiday in my household growing up to begin with. I mean no holiday was. We are a very dysfunctional family, I'll admit it. We can't stand one another but we'll stand up for each other if another person picks on someone in the family that is not inside the family. We're weird like that. It's okay for us to say crap about each other, but no one else....

Annnnnnnnnnnyways, before I got off on my rant, I was saying that I enjoy getting presents. When I have money, I also enjoy giving them, almost more then recieving them. See I have an altruistic side afterall. Anyways I am thrilled because my mom this year sent me and the hubby $200 for X-mas. Not only is this way more than I anticipated, but it also means my mother is in better financial health then I thought or she just quit sending money to the children who never call/write/visit/give a crap about whether she lives or dies. Either way, it's great. I also got $50 from Ryan's grandparents, which is awesome too. Just to show that it meant something to me, I even went and bought X-mas cards this evening to furiously send off in the morning mail,  in the hope that they arrive at their destinations before the big day. I swore not to buy any X-mas cards this year, just like last year, but somehow I ended up buying them anyways. I even have Virgin Mary painting stamps to put on them. I musta caught some virus somewhere.....
