So I watched a few movies over the last couple of days. Watched 300 finally, was an awesome flick and makes me really want to know more about the Spartans and their history. I may have to buy a few books. Like I need more books *eyes flicker to stack of books on floor because ran of bookshelf space* Watched Chuck and Larry and Reign Over Me, two very different Adam Sandler flicks. He still continues to be one of my favorite actors. Chuck and Larry was WAY funnier then I thought it would be and Reign Over Me was very good but a lot harder to watch then I thought it would be. I wonder how many people like that from 9/11 are wandering the streets of New York. The part where the lawyer paraded pictures of Adam Sandler's characters dead kids around the courtroom deliberating provoking that character's PTSD's symptoms made me physically ill. I finished season one of Babylon 5 and am busy downloading season 2. Like I need another fandom. Up on today's viewing map, as I continue my march towards foot convalescence, Torchwood! I hope it is as good as the lovely and beautiful switch842 told me it was.  


Back to lounging on the sofa. Maybe I'll surf around on the telly a bit and see if WSU is playing anyone today. Just got done talking to the father-in-law, guess I shoulda asked him if Wazzu is playing anyone today. Maybe I'll cruise around You Tube as well, see if there's anything interesting or funny. Getting kinda bored of trying to find things to do from the comfort of my own couch. Never though that would happen!! I actually kinda sorta maybe want to go back to work. But ONLY to alleviate the boredom. I certainly don't miss it. *shudder*

 

 
On a non-Atlantis note, I have a class that I am taking this semester where I learn how to diagnose folks using the DSM-IV. We get to do an assignment where we pick a celebrity, a fictional character or a historical figure to do a psychiatric evaluation on. I was initially going to do David Hewlett's character from A Dog's Breakfast, but chose not to because of the things that I have to include in the paper make picking a character that you don't know really well or can't find any background information about difficult. So I changed my mind and chose Dr. House of the Fox show House MD (for those that have no clue who I am talking about). So here's what I need from anyone on my Flist who feels compelled to help me out. I need to either get information from canon or make stuff up (either way is fine as long as there's continuity) about House's background, his childhood, his teenage years, where he went to school and anything before the infarction essentially. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also I think I am going to make my diagnose happen near the end of the Tritter arc from last season. Basically what would have happened if when they tried to get House into rehab, they called for an independent psych eval. So before his fake stint in rehab and before this seasons deal with the knife and the electrical socket. That would make my paper a little longer then 7-8 pages maximum it's allowed to be.

So it's been a pretty crappy week, won't bore you all with the details, the short and sweet is, having work issues AGAIN, was having technical difficulties with regards to homework assignments that was stressing me out big time, got a speeding ticket last night on the way home from class and to top it all off, I overslept my alarm by an hour this morning and had to run screaming into work with flames on my heels.

Yeah I really needed Atlantis tonight.

In non Grey's news, came down with the cold that has been circulating around work for the past two weeks. So cut class early yesterday and came home to wallow on the couch with Sudafed and season 3 of Atlantis. Can't wait for tomorrow and the premiere, I am so stoked for the season and can't wait to see how everything unfolds!!!
